Starleaton continues Head On support

Starleaton has continued DES’ commitment to creative photographers by supporting the Sydney Head-On Photo Festival by providing various print media free of charge. Since acquiring DES in late 2016, Starleaton has merged its strong position in Photo and Fine Art digital reproduction into the enlarged company.

On George Street downtown at The Rocks is a showcase some of the most thought provoking and captivating images from some of the past finalists of the Head On Portrait Prize. Thirty six stunning photos by renowned and up and coming photographers from around the world are displayed on planter boxes throughout The Rocks in this Portraits on George exhibition, until 28th May.

The materials used include PhotoTex, a tough polyester self-adhesive fabric that adheres to any flat surface and is very durable outdoors; the planter box images were mounted onto acrylic sheets and use PhotoTex.

Starleaton has also supported Head-On’s One Life exhibition of images and video by human rights documenters Belinda Mason and Dieter Knierim, at the Rocks Discover Museum. In a moving way, One Life provides insight into the prejudice and stigma attached to women having a criminal record and the violence and discrimination that they encounter, both inside the criminal justice system and out. The multimedia exhibition documents the lives of 12 women, from one minute before their release, to one hour later, then one day, one week, one month and one year, giving the audience a glimpse into their everyday lives. One Life runs until Sunday 18th June.

Other materials supplied free include HeliXx photo paper and vinyl banner rolls for informational signage. Overall, the Head-On Photo prizes attract more than 5,000 entrants and award $50,000 in prizes across five categories, Portrait, Landscape, Landscape NSW, Mobile and Student.

Starleaton looks forward to continuing its support for the Head On Photo Festival
