On a land size of 18,931 square metres that was sold at a price of 1.6568 billion RMB in 2007, the construction started late 2009 and there was a plan to add a 60-meter antenna at the top to let it surpass Shanghai Tower, but there were fears it would obstruct flight paths.

This one looks massive, however it ranks 7 and was never the tallest building in the world.  Although it became the tallest in NYC after it surpassed the height of Empire State Building in 2012.
